| Introduction |
SCIT was established in 1999 when IT industry was booming and a need was seen as that of providing post graduate IT education for developing quality IT professionals to drive the Indian economy. Since then it has grown progressively and earned wide acceptance of the IT industry, students, parents and of all other the stakeholders. SCIT was assessed and accredited by NAAC in 2004. It became a constituent member of “Symbiosis International University” in 2006.

SCIT is located in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjewadi, Pune and is surrounded by some top corporate establishments like Wipro, Infosys and Tata Technologies amongst others.
The Pune campus has over 1000 network connections and the network is built on high performance Gigabit Ethernet backbone on optical fiber cable with Internet & WIFI connectivity

| Method of instruction |
The learning process at SCIT focuses on three aspects viz, strong knowledge base, industry practices and Soft skills. Pedagogic approaches include classroom discussion, lab assignments, paper presentation, case studies, scenario implementations, group learning and dissertations. SCIT focuses on learn-ability, adaptability-to-change and hands-on experience to face industry challenges . |

• MBA (IT Business Management)
This programme creates professionals in management cadres such as marketing, business development, functional consulting, project management, customer relationship, process management and such other portfolios within IT and related businesses .
• MBA (Information System and Security)
With its unique focus on information flow, security and risk management, the IT industry & Consultancy Firms offer a range of opportunities in this emerging market as every enterprise needs to secure its systems. This new phenomenon calls for a large number of professionals appropriately trained and with good understanding of business and technology.
• MBA (Networks & IT Infrastructure)
This programme equips graduates with requisite skills to take a leadership position in management & professional roles in Design and Engineering, Network Operations & Support services, Consulting Services, IS Auditing and Converged Networks.
• MBA (Software Development and Management)
This programme aims at creating Software Solution Providers capable of engineering, implementing and managing efficient software solutions with an informed strategic vision. This enables them to take leadership position in managerial & consulting roles, software design and engineering services, software quality and techno-commercial activities of software product and services.
• MBA (Systems)
These professionals have a variety of opportunities in the systems and software development domain that leads to managerial or consulting positions in designing and delivering software solutions leading to potential positions such as Project Leader/ Manager, Enterprise Systems Manager, CIO, IT Managers etc. that may begin with software development also.

Graduate of any faculty of any stuatory University with 50% marks. [45% for SC/ST]
Graduates in IT / computer Science / Computer application’s or in engineering or with IT related experience will be preferred.
