| Introduction |
Established in 1978, SIBM today is the flagship Management Institute under the Faculty of Management under the Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Like the proverbial sapling that grew up into a huge tree, SIBM Pune started out humbly and has indeed come a long way. SIBM Pune has risen to become one of the leading B-schools in India.
SIBM has tie-ups with Corporate for co- administering certain selected, specialized portions of the academic curricula, and sometimes beyond the course curriculum. This is done with a view to enrich the practical knowledge of students with respect to current business trends and practices in their domain areas apart from imparting specialized academic knowledge.

SIBM Pune’s all new residential campus is a model educational campus of the city. Apart from the state of the art classrooms the campus has the best of the facilities such as Central Library, Auditorium, Conference Halls, Canteen, Health Care Centre, Area for Recreation Activities, Shopping, Guest House, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool.

The Symbiosis Center of Health Care (SCHC) is an inhouse Health Care Centre exclusive to the staff & students of the various institutes of Symbiosis. SIHS has a team of specialist doctors who conduct the annual health check up.
Each student is insured under the Mediclaim & Road Traffic Accident Policy. SIHS provides preventive, promotive as well as curative health care services that ensure Positive Health in all members of the Symbiosis Family. |

Despite the global recession and market downturn, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune has done well in the Campus Recruitment Programme 2008-09, which reinstates the confidence the industry has in our students.
Recruiters spanning domestic geographies as well as international recruiters participated to hire from the pool of best talent.
Along with the regular recruiters such as Asian Paints, Coca-Cola India, Cognizant, Dabur, Godrej Industries, ITC, Tata Motors and Vodafone, this year was marked by the participation of new global
recruiters like IFFCO Group and Dubai Health Authority, with our long term relationship with Protiviti Inc. still standing. The campus saw a spate of new domestic recruiters like Bajaj Finance, Cairn India, Credit Analysis and Research, Credit Suisse Services India, Deutsche Bank Operations International, Irevna, Knight Frank India, Tata Teleservices, TVS Motors and Wrigley to name a few.
The average compensation this year was Rs. 9 lakhs p.a.
Method of Instruction
Emphasis is given on participatory learning. i.e. combining lectures, case studies, projects, games, outdoor sessions.. to achieve an overall development of students.

| Eligibility |
| A graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level. Candidates passing degree examination by part time / distance learning / correspondence / open school / externally or in one sitting are not eligible. Final year appearing students can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at qualifying examination. |

| Reservation within intake |
- 15% and 7.5% of seats reserved for SC & ST candidates respectively.
- 3% seats reserved for "differently abled candidates - for blind, hearing impaired (Deaf/dumb) and with orthopedic disorders or mentally retarded candidates" The minimum degree of disability should be40%in order to be eligible under this category.
- 15% reserved for Management seats-applicants need to comply with all the eligibility norms and apply separately only after the entire process is complete. Appearing for SNAP test and filling of SIBM form is mandatory.
Reservation above intake
- Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats per programme of migrants from J&K valley.
- 15% seats for International Students Students can apply to one category only.
Reservation for defense / Industry sponsored etc. - Nil
