| Introduction |
Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) is a proud member of the prestigious Symbiosis International University (SIU). A pioneer in the field of Health education, SIHS has conceptualized & implemented a group of professional up-gradation programmes meant to equip the healthcare professional with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialization. Besides having excellent faculty for the didactic component, hands on practical training for all programmes is provided at number of healthcare organizations spread over the country. The SIHS encourages a symbiosis of thought, word & action of all such professionals who would address the all-important issue of health in its totality. This is by way of developing an “academic partnership” with the major stakeholders of the healthcare industry. Through its unique, innovative, career oriented programmes, SIHS plans to raise a cadre of professionals who would ensure delivery of optimum health care services.

Infrastructure |
| • Auditorium: The in-house facilities include a 600-seater modern auditorium and a modern conference hall at Vishwabhavan.
• Classrooms: Lecture rooms are well equipped with the latest audiovisual facilities.
• Library: All students will be provided library facilities consisting of relevant course material, reference books, CDs etc.
• Multi Cuisine Cafeteria: An all day cafeteria ensures refreshments for busy minds.
• Accommodation: Limited accommodation for o ut station students (Ladies& Gents) can be arranged at the Symbiosis Hostel on first come first served basis.
• Health care & Health club facilities: The Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) is the in-house Health Care unit exclusive to the staff and students of the various institutes of Symbiosis. The SCHC has a team of specialist doctors present throughout the day. Out patient treatment is provided to the students by the medical officers of SCHC. The Symbiosis Health Benevolent Fund (SHBF) is the first of its kind cashless medical insurance scheme for staff & students, to have been introduced in the entire country. It provides for zero hour support in case of medical emergencies. The SCHC also provides an in house modern health club and fitness centre with the view to facilitate a holistic development of mind and body for an all round development of our students. |

| Programmes offered |
MBA (Hospital & Healthcare) Duration : 2-year full time About the programme: The two year full time MBA programme in Hospitals & Health Care Management is aimed at developing in depth knowledge, skills and abilities in a group of potential hospital and health care delivery management professionals who will be able to obtain managerial positions in public, private, NGO and charitable organizations and partnerships involved in delivery of health care in India and abroad.
- Placement: The SIHS Placement Cell will assist all students to obtain employment in respective industries which include hospitals (both in the private & public sector) NGOs, Health Insurance, IT and pharma organizations.
- Method of Instruction: The programme aims at adopting a synergistic blend of academic knowledge and practical intricacies of the field to train professionals to undertake a wider range of administrative and managerial responsibilities within the healthcare organizations with real time inputs from all partnerships in the healthcare delivery system in India & abroad. The programme is conducted by pure case classes, pure lecture classes and everything in between. All the different teaching styles that are used and all the different ways that material is presented, give the students ample opportunities to assess how they learn best and for us to teach material in a way that is appropriate. A wi-fi enabled campus further facilitates this mode of learning. In addition SIHS aims at all round personality development by way of students’ participation in creative pursuits such as presentations, book reviews, participation in student-industry interfaces, analysis of current affairs etc.
- Career prospects etc. With the rapidly growing healthcare sector the need for managing hospitals & healthcare establishments professionally has become even more acute. With increasing emphasis on quality of health care, cost effective utilization of resources and patient satisfaction there is a tremendous need for persons with a professional qualification in Hospital & Healthcare Management. Thus there are challenging job opportunities in medical institutes, hospitals, nursing homes and NGOs operating in the health care sector as also in the Insurance, IT and Pharmaceutical sector.

Graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the last academic degree obtained. (45% incase of SC/ST candidates)
