The Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International University. The purpose of the fulltime Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at SIMS is to provide management students with a critical understanding of management and organizational related skills which will provide the basis for informed decision making in their future careers. The institute is an ISO 9001: 2000 quality certified management institute. The Institute is presently undergoing NAAC accreditation process. Admission eligibility is defined under MoU with Min of Defence, Govt of India.

The integrated lock-step curriculum of SIMS spreads over 2 academic years and is divided into 4 semesters. Students learn to take decisions critically and analytically, taking into account the business considerations and ethical implications of these decisions.

M.B.A. (Marketing/Finance/Operations/ICT /IB/ Retail Management)
    The two-year full time program is designed to provide a strong foundation in operational facets of management. It allows areas     of specialization in Marketing/ Finance/ ICT/ Operations/ IB/ Retail Management through a Major-Minor format.

M.B.A. (PM & HR)
    A two-year full time program that prepares the students with skills, knowledge and strategic perspectives that are essential in     effective management of people resources. This program provides the student with in-depth knowledge of current HR practices     and industrial relations.

General management orientation.
    Students opt for their area of specialization at the end of the 1 st semester. This choice is moderated through domain test with     cap for class depending upon subscription

Interactive with faculties using case study method, innovative techniques like role plays & films, live projects, etc along with traditional lecture/discussion method.

The Institute is an accredited ‘Center for Corporate Governance’ of the National Foundation of Corporate Governance and conducts research and executive development programs in the field for senior management and board members.

Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for admission to SIMS is 50% or more marks in aggregate of fulltime bachelor’s level degree through 10+2+3/4 mode, in single attempt, from a statutory university. Candidates completing their final examinations of bachelor’s degree by 30 th June 2007 can also apply provisionally. Please note admission is primarily for dependants of defence personnel at this institute, with few industry sponsored seats.(Please refer policy defined below).

STEP 2 : Procure copy of SIMS Prospectus for 2008-2010 batch or refer the website at www.sims.edu for details. Prospectus is               available by courier or by hand on payment of Rs. 1,100/- by demand draft in favour of ‘Director, SIMS’, payable at               Pune. (Rs. 50 courier charge).
STEP 3 : Apply for admission for M.B.A. program at SIMS with duly completed application form attached to prospectus or               downloaded from website (along with demand draft).
