SNAP 2023 - FAQs

  • Do we need to pay anything other than the registration fee ?

    Pay the SNAP Test registration fee of Rs.2250/- per test from August 23, 2023, to November 23, 2023, as per the instructions mentioned on the website for Payment of the SNAP Test registration fee.
    The applicant has to pay a programme fee of Rs 1000/- for each programme the aspirants wish to apply for.

  • Can I pay for the Institutes after the SNAP results ?

    The SNAP payment schedule has all the important dates mentioned about the payment and registration of the SNAP exam. Each institute has different deadlines, and the candidates need to pay before the respective deadlines.

  • Can we make changes in the form after payment ? (application form for snap, apply for snap online, mba
    application form)

    No changes are allowed in the SNAP form. If you have made any mistake in the form then you need to make a new complete registration and make the payment again.
    Note: No refund will be issued if you make double registration.

  • Can we change the test city after paying the registration fee ?

    No.

  • Are there any books to refer for SNAP ?

    SNAP Exam is very much similar to other MBA Entrance exams. The best way to prepare for SNAP is by appearing for mock tests. There is no specific book to prepare for the SNAP test. A candidate may refer to the test structure and get books as per that for the preparations.

  • What is the cut off for SNAP ?

    Category-wise SNAP cut-off for Merit List and Wait List will be displayed on the website of the respective Institutes after the SNAP Results are out. So, for any details regarding the SNAP test, please contact the respective institute.

  • When will I get a call from the institute for further processing ?

    A candidate will be shortlisted for further admission process (GE-PI) based on her/his overall SNAP Percentile. Please check the respective Institute website for information and dates of GE-PI.

    The further admission process is conducted separately for each programme by each Institute. The cut-off for shortlisting is also calculated separately for each programme. Based on her/his overall SNAP percentile, a particular candidate may get shortlisted for more than one programme. In such a scenario the candidate is expected to participate in the GE-PI for each programme separately.

    **Disclaimer
    It is mandatory to attend all components/tests of GE-PI to be eligible for admission to any PG programme. Only the candidate who attends all components/tests of the selection process (GE- PI) shall be considered as eligible for the generation of merit /wait/reject list. The candidate who remains absent for any one of the components/tests will be considered as ineligible for the selection process of any of the MBA programmes of SIU.

  • What is the process for NRI candidates ?

    NRI candidates can refer to the stepwise procedure available at https://www.snaptest.org/symbiosis-international-students.html for their SNAP registration process. Interested candidates can apply online through their user-friendly online application facility. For More details on NRI/International candidate admissions, the candidate needs to call SCIE.

  • How many times I can give SNAP ?

    SNAP is held only once a year.
    A candidate can appear for upto three tests for SNAP 2023. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and there will be no normalization . A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers. The normal spread will ensure that there is no unfair advantage to candidates who opt for any specific test / multiple tests. This will ensure normalisation of the spread of questions across sections. Furthermore, the question papers will be normalised for the level of difficulty across all three tests. No correspondence regarding this will be entertained.

  • Does the SNAP exam have negative markings ?

    SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has four responses (Only for Normal Questions). The candidate should choose an appropriate response. Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks. SNAP 2023 exam pattern consists of 3 sections - General English, Analytical and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency.

  • Which colleges accept SNAP scores ?

    16 Symbiosis B-Schools accept the SNAP score for 26 MBA programmes coming under the Symbiosis Institute. The list of the colleges and eligibility criteria is mentioned on the SNAP test 2023 website.

  • How many numbers of questions are there in the SNAP 2023 exam ?

  • What is the eligibility criteria for SNAP Entrance Test ?

    Candidate should be Graduate from any recognised University/ Candidate should be a graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes) at graduation.

    Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).
    A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

    The SNAP exam is a computer-based exam mandatory for admissions to various programmes under Symbiosis Institute. Candidates can register online on the SNAP test website- snaptest.org, and the registration for the exam started on 23rd August 2023. The registration will be closed on 23rd November 2023.

  • Apart from registering for SNAP, do I need to separately apply to B-school programmes ?

    Candidates aspiring to join MBA programmes offered by Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) have to appear for the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2023. A candidate needs to register for the SNAP Test and also register for the Institutes offering her/his choice of programme/s by paying a separate registration fee for each programme/s.

  • How to download a SNAP admit card ?

    The Test Centre and its address will be printed on the Admit Card. The SNAP admit card will be live on December 04, 2023 (Monday) for SNAP Test 1, December 09, 2023 (Saturday) for SNAP Test 02 and SNAP Test 03

  • How to apply/get admission in Symbiosis Pune for MBA ?

    A candidate aspiring to join an MBA programme offered at SIBM Pune is required to register as well as pay the registration fee of her/his desired programme(s) before the closing date of programme registration fee payment of that/those programme(s). The said fee must be paid through the SNAP website only (snaptest.org). This is in addition to registering for and paying the registration fee for the SNAP Test.

    The programme registration fee is INR 1000/- for each programme. If a candidate wishes to apply to more than one programme, s/he will have to pay an additional INR 1000/- for each additional programme applied to.

  • Does SNAP have a reservation quota ?

    No.
