Symbiosis School of Banking & Finance (SSBF) was established to address the growing demand for trained workforce in the Banking and Financial Services Sector. Given that a strong and resilient banking system is critical for fuelling and sustaining growth, the importance of having industry-ready manpower cannot be over-emphasized. The MBA (Banking and Finance) being offered by SSBF has been designed to provide the necessary education and skill-set to equip students to innovate, manage, lead and take on the challenges of this increasingly complex and dynamic BFSI sector in the wake of constant functional and technological changes. The MBA (Banking and Finance) Programme with specialization in Fintech/Financial Services is designed with an objective to disseminate relevant knowledge and provide skills to students such that they function effectively in the challenging environment of the Banking, Finance and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The specializations will help equip and empower students with the knowledge and skill required to prosper in the dynamic technology-driven financial environment. The Programme develops future BFSI leaders with requisite skills through robust curriculum and collaborative initiatives to excel in the dynamic global environment.

Master of Business Administration (Banking and Finance) (Dual Degree, with Aston University, UK) *
The Dual Degree Programme is in collaboration with Aston University, UK wherein the dual degree will be SSBF: MBA (Banking and Finance) Programme with specialization in Financial Services along with Aston University: MSc in Finance. The degree is designed with an objective to disseminate relevant knowledge and provide skills to students such that they function effectively in the challenging global environment of the Banking, Finance and Insurance (BFSI) sector. This Dual degree Programme allows you to earn two Master degrees within two years. This unique opportunity is tailor-made and offered to you by Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance with our partner university - Aston University, UK The specializations will help equip and empower students with the knowledge and skill required to prosper in the dynamic technology-driven financial environment. ELIGIBILITY
MBA(BANKING AND FINANCE)
Graduate from any recognised University/ Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes).
MBA (Banking and Finance) Dual Degree with Macquarie University, Australia
Eligibility Requirement at Macquarie University (in addition to the above) –
- Completion of 1 year (semesters 1 and 2) of the relevant SSBF MBA programme with a minimum of WAM 65.
- Completion of an undergraduate degree with a minimum average score of 50% or equivalent. Students must submit SIU-certified mark sheets – Class 12 and Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
- Minimum Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent (Score needed before Jan 14, 2026, and validity till Dec 2027)
- Prior work experience preferred however not mandatory. Work experience/Internship document to be provided, if applicable.

MBA (Banking and Finance) Dual Degree with Aston University, UK
- 60% overall in Bachelor’s Degree | 6 out of 10 GPA |4.2 out of 7 GPA + a content minimum of 50% from any one of the following areas: Economics(micro/macro), Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Mathematics, Finance
- A minimum of 75% (CBSE/ISC) or 80% (State Board/NIOS) in Standard 12th English for the reasons of compliance OR 6.5 (3 bands at 6.0, and 1 band at 5.5) in IELTS (Score needed before Jan 14, 2026, and validity till Dec 2026)
- Prior work experience preferred, however, not mandatory. Work experience/Internship document to be provided, if applicable.

How to Apply
For seeking admission to the Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance students should complete the following procedure:
Step I:
The applicant must register and pay for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2019. SNAP 2019 test fee is INR 1750/- (non-refundable). Following are the options for payment.
i) Billdesk Payment Gateway ii) Easebuzz Payment Gateway iii) Indian Bank Gateway iv) Demand Draft.

Step II:
While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SSBF in the same application form.A programme fee of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) is to be paid toSSBF for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).
Note
1) SNAP Test fee & programme(s) of the institute is non-refundable.
2) Demand Draft(s) should reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by 5:00 pm on November 26, 2019. Demand Drafts reaching after this will not be considered and will be returned to the respective candidates.
3) The last date for payment for SSBF is January 16, 2020, Thursday
