SCIT is located in Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, Pune and is surrounded by some top corporate establishments like Wipro, Infosys and Tata Technologies amongst others.
The Pune campus has over 1000 network connections, and the network is built on high performance Gigabit Ethernet backbone on optical fiber cable with Internet & WIFI connectivity

The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls with well-equipped rooms. It has wi-fi network connectivity. Each room has an attached bath with hot and cold water facility. The campus security extends its services round-the-clock. Mess facilities and cafeteria are provided.
SCIT has modern library facilities with more than 9,000 books on technology and management and nearly 1300 CD's. The students have access to nearly 30,000 books housed in the same building by sister institutes. SCIT students look forward to and actively participate in Book Reviews which are held regularly by the library. Certificates are awarded for Best Book Review and also to all those who review books.
A unique facility with diverse networking environments and platforms, it gives a free arena to students to experiment with different technologies and products for simulating diverse environments. For example, a student's experiments with security mechanisms have led to the deployment of a centralized authentication mechanism in SCIT's own multi-platform environment. Students work on advanced areas such as high performance networks, security, messaging etc. fully utilizing the facilities in the Proof of Concept Lab. POC Lab provides the student the necessary equipment and also an independent link to set up a simulated environment to experiment with various network concepts and practices such as fixed line wireless integration, ethical hacking, Voice commands, virtualization of servers and storage and others. SCIT has set up a Virtualization lab to facilitate a better teaching learning experience.
The mess caters Indian vegetarian food with a menu managed by student teams. It provides breakfast and two meals daily to nearly 1200 students.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
At SCIT, a variety of instruction methods are used to impart knowledge to the students. Traditional classroom teaching to build the fundamental concepts, practical exercises students can get hands - on experience by applying the lessons learnt. Case studies are extensively used, along with this Role Plays are used to simulate a real world situation dramatically and encourages the students to explore the solutions.
Pilot projects, Internships and dissertation are some mandatory exercises which every student has to do in order to build up their practical skills and develop an inclination towards research.
Besides this, students are also involved in research projects in which they may have to do field work, building case studies and writing research papers as a part of their course curricula. Guest lectures and seminars is strong component of teaching as it gives industry inputs and increases the awareness of the students about the current state of industry .Performance of students is check through regular class test, assignments, surprise test, quiz. Efforts are made to make the teaching more active and interactive. SCIT focuses on innovative teaching methodologies which help in making the classroom sessions more active and interactive.

How to apply
For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Pune (SCIT) students should complete the following procedure:
The applicant must register and pay online for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Examination, 2017. SNAP 2017 test fee is INR 1750/- (+ applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes). This is not refundable. For more details please visit: www.snaptest.org
While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SCIT in the same application form. A registration fee of Rs. 1000/- (+ applicable Payment gateway charges, GST and any other taxes) is to be paid to SCIT for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).

You may pay directly online using either Master or Visa card. Follow the instructions on the website. You can also pay the Program-wise Payment for Selection Process through credit card.
ONLINE PAYMENT THROUGH INDIAN BANK NET BANKING:
You may pay your SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account. You can also pay the Program-wise Payment for Selection Process through Indian Bank Internet Banking option.
Get a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 2065/- (this include Rs.1750 as SNAP Test fee and Rs. 315/- as GST @18%) from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune.
Choose the mode of Payment as 'Demand Draft' in "Make Payment" Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, verify the Institute Program Names and the amount, get a DD from any Nationalized Bank, sign and send the advise form along with the DD to the address mentioned below :
