For Master of Business Administration (Information Technology)

The MBA (IT) programme at SICSR offers students a perfect blend of technology and management courses. This programme comprises four specialisations, namely Banking and Financial Markets, Data Analytics, IT Infrastructure Management, and Software Process Management. This degree prepares students to take up roles such as Business Analyst, IT Management Consultant, IT Architect, Data Processing Manager, Systems Software Manager and Product Manager, to name a few.

The program aims to equip students with the skills to develop IT-based software solutions, take on analytical roles like business or domain analyst, stay updated with the latest technologies, gain exposure to industry best practices, and enhance leadership and management capabilities.

Experiential learning is a crucial component of the MBA (IT) syllabus at SICSR. Students create a variety of pilot projects to test their theoretical topic understanding. Pedagogical methods such as case studies, role-plays, quizzes and flipped classrooms are used by our faculty members for teaching and learning.

The programme structure is updated as per the industry needs and the other requirements of ever-changing business environments. There are courses including contemporary topics such as entrepreneurship and ethics in business to cater for this need. Value-added courses, which are not directly part of the curriculum, are also offered to equip students with additional knowledge on emerging areas."

The MBA (Digital Transformation) programme at SICSR is an innovative offering, inspired by the Government of India's Digital India initiative. Designed to address the rising demand for digital transformation across industries, the programme empowers students to modernize business processes through the application of advanced and emerging technologies.

The curriculum is thoughtfully structured to cover a broad spectrum of sectors, including social media, healthcare, international business, and software development, while fostering a global outlook on IT-enabled strategic practices. In the post-COVID-19 landscape, where digital adaptation has become more crucial than ever, the programme has gained heightened relevance. It also includes a full-time industry internship and dedicated placement support in the final semester, ensuring students gain practical exposure and career readiness.

For seeking admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, Pune students should complete the following procedure:

Step I:

The applicant must register and pay for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) 2019. SNAP 2019 test fee is INR 1750/- (non-refundable). Following are the options for payment.

Step II:

While registering for SNAP, applicant has to also apply for SICSR in the same application form.A programme fee of Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) is to be paid to SICSR for each programme that the aspirant wishes to apply. This is mandatory, without which the applicant will not be considered for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise) PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective programme(s).

1) SNAP Test fee & programme(s) of the institute is non-refundable.

2) Demand Draft(s) should reach the Symbiosis Test Secretariat by 5:00 pm on November 26, 2019. Demand Drafts reaching after this will not be considered and will be returned to the respective candidates.

3) The last date for payment for SICSR is 7th January, 2020 Midnight (Tuesday)
